Going back to where it all began… 🍷 Travel to the real origins of your favourite drink. From intriguing ‘amber’ wines to deep, soulful reds, Nika curates 5 wines from Georgia and Armenia, each telling a story shaped by thousands of vintages.
To match? A spread of homemade treats with recipes from our dear Caucasian friends, and a perfect setting too – our favourite tasting room in Eixample next to a century-old bodega.
Really informative and enjoyable. Nika brought history, geography, food and culture all together to teach us more about the wine we know and lots of grapes and regions I didn't know, along with some great recommendations for what to buy next. Looking forward to more Wine Alphabet courses in the future.
Wine Alphabet put together a bespoke oyster and wine tasting for 5 people and it was absolutely incredible and fantastic value for money. Not only were they great, but the wines and oysters were also delicious and her private tasting room was perfect for our group. I will be back and would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed but informative wine tasting in Barcelona.

What a great 4-week course on Imbibing Italy! Loved how Nika brought in the history of each region covered as well as amazing details of each grape. Adding in food pairings allowed me to create some Italian wine nights with some friends and appear to know what I was doing!! I'm sure I was the least experienced participant, but so glad I joined this class as I learned so much and am more intrigued to expand my knowledge in more detail moving forward. Nika is a wonderful professional and a storyteller! With her help wines become not just names but wonderful stories of winemakers. The presentation on G for Grenache was informative and interesting. Picking various regions where Grenache is turned into wine was particularly well done. Nika’s presentation was enriching and broadened our knowledge of wines to now include Grenache. We sipped, we learnt, we enjoyed.
Nika organizes amazing wine tastings and she has found a way to make them online now, which was great and informative! She is very good at explaining wine in a simple way but is also able to answer more complicated questions. Super friendly too 🙂
