NIKA SHEVELA:
Hi we’re Nika and Paul co-founders of Wine Alphabet, a communications and consultancy based in Barcelona. We started Wine Alphabet in 2017 with the idea of bringing wine lovers into contact with great wine one letter at a time. Since then, our platform has grown to encompass a range of services and solutions; from events and tastings to private sommelier hire and online events.
PAUL GEDDIS: As an online company, we’ve seen how the barriers around wine are coming down and with Wine Alphabet we want to celebrate that, bringing people from a range of backgrounds and professions together and giving a space to the overlooked stories of wine makers and wine lovers alike.
NIKA:
Our company is based in Barcelona, where both of us have spent most of our professional lives, in my case working in languages, wine and tourism, and Paul in the creative industries, first in journalism and more recently in musical events. What we share, and what we want to share with our followers, is a love of good wine and good stories, and a belief that the label on the bottle matters less than what’s in the glass.

Nika Shevela
Nika is a wine and wine-communications expert based in Barcelona. Having worked in tourism, translation, teaching, events production and interpreting for clients around the world, she made the leap into wine, a calling that continues to this day. Her wine qualifications include WSET3, Spanish Wine Scholar, Certified Cava Instructor and Canary Island Wine Ambassador.
Paul Geddis
Paul has worked as a journalist, editor and creative director for magazines, websites and events in Spain and around the world for 15 years. He likes unusual music, good stories and great wine.
Anjalina Chugani
Owner
Anjalina Chugani is a culinary teacher, Recipe developer & Ayurveda consultant who has put Indian food on the gastronomic map in Barcelona. Discover her work here.
